Just some little projects!

I have been experimenting with knots!  If you asked my dad two weeks ago, I'm sure he would have told you that I am hopeless with them.  You see, he's dealt with years of my lashing down the hay stack in imprecise and hasty signature knots I could come up with after ducking under--risking all-day running nose and congestion--the tarp and before scurrying off in the cold to go feed some hungry horses.

He is going to be so impressed when I take these little creations home this weekend!  My first attempts at paracord--albeit, cheap, non-military grade paracord.  I'm going to be on the hunt for some good legit stuff that is stronger with more color options, pick up more hardware, and pretend like I have time for another dog-related hobby.

Black and Tan lead, with a fixed d-ring fitted to Elsie's neck, to make it a quick collar/lead combo.  Used as a lead-only, the extra knotting makes a great grip for in-traffic walking.

White and tan slip lead, photographed with a double bolt snap to the o-ring for a fixed lead.

Have a great day!

  1. Speaking of horses we were absolutely hopeless at slip knots....they always slipped out LOL. Therefore very impressed at those. Nice job. Have a terrific Tuesday.
    Best wishes Molly
